Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01: Colombo-Habarana

Arrival and transfer to Habarana. Enrouite visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Over Night: Check in at your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 02: Habarana

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya and climb the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, built by King Kasiappa (473 - 491 AD). The lion rock is a citadel of unusual beauty, rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. See the world famous frescoes of the "Heavenly Maidens" of Sigiriya in a sheltered pocket of the rock.. Evening at leisure. Over Night: Overnight stay at your hotel in Habarana.

DAY 03: Hawarana-Kandy

After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visiting the Dambulla Rock Temple, which was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC. Dambulla too is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave Temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq.mtrs of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. Also, visit a Spice Garden in Matale. Check in at your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. In the late evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show. Over Night: Overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.

DAY 04: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast do a city tour of Kandy - the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past, splendour, legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly kept alive for countless years. Visit a Gem museum and a lapidary. Also, visit the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, which was originally the pleasure gardens of the Royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli River. Check in at your hotel. Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya, enroute visiting a Tea Plantation and a Factory. Nuwara Eliya is the location for one of the finest 18 hole Golf Courses in Asia. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 ft) is located here. after breakfast at leisure or option of doing last minute shopping in Colombo. Thereafter proceed to the airport for departure. Over Night: Overnight stay at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 05: Nuwara Eliya-Colombo

After breakfast proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala where the famous “Bridge on the River Kwai” film was made. Enroute observe the two Water Falls, Devon and St. Clare’s.
Over Night: Check in at your hotel in Colombo for overnight stay.

DAY 06: Colombo-Onward Journey

After breakfast do a city tour of Colombo observing the old Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall) and visit Fort. Also, visit the Ceramics Corporation Showroom, Majestic City shopping complex and the ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique. Thereafter proceed to airport for departure.
