Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Sanctuaries

Approximately a third of Madhya Pradesh is wrapped with forests. Mantle It has 11 National Parks and 31 Wildlife Sanctuaries including Asia’s largest wildlife sanctuary and tiger reserve Kanha and Bandhavgarh. These parks are habitat to one sixth of world’s tiger population. Undoubtedly if Madhya Pradesh is “Tiger State.”

 

 

 

Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park is the well-known White Tigers of Rewa. The flora and fauna found within the Park is deciduous forest with excellent Sal trees and wide area of bamboo. Presently, this Sanctuary is recognized for having maximum population of Tigers in the country and some 250 species of birds. 

 

 

 

 

 

Kanha National Park

If you want to get the sight of Blackbuck, Chital and Barasingha, meadows of the Kanha is where they can be seen throughout the day. Kanha has some 22 species of mammal and some 200 species of birds. Bamni Dadar is Sunset Point of Kanha.

 

 

 

 

 

Pench Tiger Reserve

The Pench tiger reserve has a rich wildlife including gaur, nilgai, four-horned antelope, chital, sambar, wild dog, wolf, leopard and tiger. Some time back these hills were known as the Seoni forests.It is this reserve where Kipling chose to locate his jungle story of the wolf boy Mowgli.
